At ALA, we believe in achieving small goals every day and challenging the status quo.
We guide our people’s careers on a continuous learning process, by offering opportunities for both personal and professional growth.
We have always been committed to involving our employees in the assessment of the working environment, so that we may implement actions that enhance a better work-life balance.
This is what enables us to retain talent and align corporate goals with our Talent Management strategy.
International mobility and job rotation
Our talents are involved in Job rotation and International Mobility Programs with the aim to foster a cross-fertilization mechanism, crucial for enhancing business process innovation.
These programs give our Company the opportunity to temporarily set up heterogeneous work groups on a cultural, educational and professional basis.
International mobility and Job rotation represent an opportunity for our people to test their knowledge, skills, and attitude even in different professional contexts: our employees will then acquire a deep understanding of company worldwide dynamics and face issues coming from different areas of operations.
Opportunities at ALA
Thesis projects
ALA is eager to support motivated students during their thesis project through agreements and partnerships with the main local universities.
Students will be tutored during the research, data analysis, and the thesis editing: this process will enable them to interact with an international business environment, encouraging their personal and professional development.
Students who are interested in carrying out a thesis project at ALA SpA can apply through the Application Form.
Internship experience
ALA places very high value on internship experience as it represents the best way for newly graduates to gain an insider’s view to a possible career path and networking opportunities.
ALA Internship Program lasts 6 months: each trainee is assigned a company tutor who will follow the trainee throughout the whole internship path, whose topics addressed will be agreed upon within the traineeship project.
The internship programme includes an initial Induction session, which is crucial to ensure the new resources a smoother integration into the working environment and transmit the company values from the outset, through training on general and specific matters.
In some favourable occasions, during the six-month programme, we offer the opportunity for a job rotation, to provide additional experience within a new department.
Trainees will be monitored through special evaluation and self-assessment processes, to verify whether the set goals have been achieved and expectations are aligned and fulfilled.
Talent development
ALA encourages a continuous learning process, offering an opportunity of both personal and professional growth through well-structured training plans, starting from a skill gap analysis.
By analysing the type of training needed, every year we implement a training plan with activities and workshops useful to acquire and improve hard & soft skills, and to be always ready for the challenges of tomorrow.
Our approach involves technical training and closely related to our core business, but also language training. Knowing foreign languages plays an ever more central role nowadays, not only for interacting with all Stakeholders, but also for better collaborating with the colleagues: with this in mind, we involve small groups of employees to join alternately English, Spanish and French lesson.
Added to this is an intensive training program related to subjects of increasing importance, such as: sustainability, innovation and cybersecurity.
ALA excellence relies on the investment in our people letting them develop their skills, knowledge and capabilities to better perform their role.
Training activities represent an opportunity for our resources, as they offer the chance to get in touch with professionals, while consolidating their skills and relational abilities – skills now essential for management careers and beyond.
Through a meritocratic career development plan, ALA also creates room for improvement for the employees with high potential. The Talent & Training Incentive Programme is a clear example: it aims to promote a training incentives system, which is functional for professional development and brings enhancements to company processes.
All this results in the company’s desire to promote and develop a talent culture in line with corporate strategies and objectives.
